The rise of digital branding...

While business and social life shifted to the digital world with the Covid-19 pandemic, "digital" branding has also gained speed. Since 20 March 2019, the number of trademark applications made to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, including the word "digital" in Turkish has reached 52. The number of trademark registration applications containing the word “digital” in English was 26. In other words, there are 78 applications in total.

Since mid-March, business and social life has been moved to digital environments. Those who have to do business from home sometimes have to spend more than half a day in online chat rooms. New behaviors and practices brought by extraordinary times, will eventually bring in, with no doubts, new norms and new normals. 

Among the brand applications containing the word digital, there are also the concepts of "digital hospital" and "digital university". All universities announced that they would do their exams online. The idea that it is possible to study at a university without having a physical university excites new entrepreneurs.

RE-BIRTH OF DIGITAL AS A BRAND

It is no surprise to anticipate that with the introduction of 4.5G and 5G technology, which is hundreds of times faster than it is now, life will shift to digital. Especially a change in remote health services is noticeable immediately. The number of doctors who examine their patients with remote video connection is increasing day by day. New concepts and facts such as digital examination and digital diagnosis have already begun to enter our lives.
